Why do I want to serve on

the Wayzata City Council?

Wayzata is truly a unique community with so much to value and protect. My wife Sue and I moved to Wayzata 8 years ago. We love the beauty of the lake, friendliness of our neighbors and the vibrant, small-town feel of this community.

Our city has changed a lot and is now a Regional Destination. There are many positives to this growth, but also many challenges we must face with thoughtful, creative solutions to help ensure Wayzata’s unique, small-town character is not lost amid our growth.

I bring 40+ years of business, community development and civic leadership experience to my City Council service. More importantly, I feel a deep sense of appreciation and responsibility to maintain the peaceful, friendly, safe small-town character that makes Wayzata special.

Being retired for 5 years, I am now able to dedicate my time and resources to a cause that I believe strongly in.  My feelings for this community, my career as a business leader in the construction and development business and my experience as Wayzata Planning Commissioner qualify me as an ideal candidate to represent our community as a city council person.

I am proud of our beautiful and charming city and am committed to work hard to ensure that we continue to enjoy this wonderful community that our residents have come to so dearly enjoy.
